Panettone

Have you ever tried the Italian Panettone? This royal treat is a staple dish on an Italian Christmas table. Traditionaly made with dried fruit dipped in orange liqueur. However, imagination has no limits, therefore, a Panettone can be made with chocolate chips, with added grappa, rum or lemon liqueur cream. The making of this puffy pastry takes time, experience and patience, because the dough needs to be kneaded three separate times and then it takes about 20 hours for it to rise and one can only wait and hope that it will taste the way it was intended
