85 percent of children who are 4 years old, 65 percent of children who are 6 years old and 25 percent of children who are 8 years old still believe in Santa. All children before they turn 10 years old, completely loose faith in Santa’s existence. And the fascinating thing is that according to scientists, these numbers do not change regardless of the generation.

There is a simple explanation for this – the nature of children. Children have the innate ability to believe without rationalizing. Research shows that the more a child is affected by the idea of Santa – the more they see images of him, the more stories they hear – the more fervently he or she will believe in the idea of Santa. But regardless, of the strength of this belief, universally it will end before the child turns 10.
